Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant Level II to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with experience supporting various dental procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where patient care, technical proficiency, and team collaboration are paramount. The Dental Assistant Level II will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinical operations, delivering exceptional patient experiences, and supporting the overall success of the practice.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, including restorative, orthodontic, and pediatric treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all supplies are readily available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology to support accurate diagnoses.
- Manage patient records efficiently using electronic health record systems such as Tracker, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures to promote long-term oral health.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments,
verifying patient insurance information, and assisting as a dental receptionist when needed.
- Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations by adhering to sterilization protocols and infection control standards.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience while fostering a professional and welcoming environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant Level II or similar role within a busy dental practice.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems such as Tracker is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care and treatment documentation.
- Experience supporting dental procedures involving CAD technology for digital impressions or restorations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively and work collaboratively with team members.
- Certification in dental assisting from an accredited program is preferred; ongoing career development is encouraged.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
