We are currently looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Evening Cleaner to join our team at Thorhild Central School. You will be working as part of a two-person evening cleaning team responsible for maintaining a clean and safe school environment.

Position Details

Location: Thorhild, Alberta
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Start Time: Between 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine floor care, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Operate industrial vacuum cleaners and other cleaning equipment
- Use equipment such as an auto-scrubber when required
- Empty trash containers and dispose of waste properly
- Clean and disinfect washrooms and kitchen fixtures
- Wash windows, interior walls, and other surfaces as needed
- Perform high dusting of lights,



vents, and other areas
- Maintain overall cleanliness of assigned areas within the school
- Assist team members and complete additional cleaning tasks as assigned

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of janitorial or cleaning experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Good communication skills
- Valid driver’s license required
- Personal vehicle preferred
- Must pass a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- WHMIS certification required (training can be provided)
