Program Facilitator / Job Coach

Full Time (1.0 FTE) Term Certain

The Adolescent and Adult Services Program (AAS) is currently looking for a passionate and motivated Full-Time Facilitator/Job Coach to fill a Term Certain (maternity leave) position. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of multiple participants in a variety of skill-based programs within the Adolescent and Adult Services Program including employment readiness programs, work experience programs, grant projects, as well as providing direct support to participants affiliated with the Ready Willing and Able (RWA) program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing key representative and case management duties for AAS participants including:

· Scheduling and facilitating group and individual programming or skill sessions.

- In conjunction with the multidisciplinary Clinical Team, developing and implementing participant goals and Action Plans, collecting and objectively evaluating data and monitoring participant’s progress.
- Supporting RWA participants and employers through job coaching and acting as a liaison between participants, guardians, inclusive employer partners, and our Clinical Team.
- Supporting grant projects, as they arise.

The ideal candidate will have:

· Fluency in English and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong documentation skills, exceptional time management and organizational skills.

· Ability to work independently, effectively managing their tasks and responsibilities.





- Candidates must demonstrate strong knowledge of autism and a clear understanding of the unique challenges faced by adolescents and adults, particularly as they relate to employment readiness and skill development.
- Comfort with complex co-occurring mental health issues, including anxiety and suicide.
- Confidence and independence with interactions and meetings with clients, guardians and employers.

· Flexibility with work schedule as the hours of work vary. Although they are primarily daytime hours, Monday to Friday, some evenings and occasional weekends may be required (i.e., based on program and participant support needs).

· A solid understanding of autism and strong knowledge of adult learning principles.

· A reliable vehicle, as travel is required.

· Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C.

· Clear Police Check and Vulnerable Sector check.

Qualifications:

· B.A. in Psychology, or related discipline or Post-Secondary Diploma in a related field.

· Minimum one-year direct experience in providing pre-employment and job coaching support to autistic youth and adults.

Pay: From $47,000.00 per year
