Site Superintendent – Kingston, Prince Edward County

This role is responsible for the overall supervision of construction projects, crews and sub-contractors. The performance of the duties must ensure a quality approach to all employees, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and owners. The successful candidate will be supported in the role by a Project Manager and a Project Coordinator and will act as part of a team to deliver the project in a manner consistent with Bourgon Construction’s vision.

This position is full-time, permanent, and will be located on site in the Kingston or Prince Edward County region for the duration of the project. Health and retirement benefits are available following a probationary period. Training and on-going education are provided and encouraged.

Responsibilities:

- Able to work with contract documents and prepare the layout of the project.
- Plan,



organize and assign work to be done by own crews and subtrades.
- Ability to lead by example, educate, coach, develop and direct workers with specific, timely instructions and feedback.
- Monitor crew’s productivity, track hours for work performed.
- Check the quality of work along the way with respect to specifications and building code.
- Lead the implementation, management and monitoring of safety programs.
- Manage, receive and report materials on site.
- Manage the storage, security and maintenance of specific tools and manuals.
- Be a proactive problem-solver, draft RFIs, manage SIs and COs, as-builts etc.
- Other tasks as required.

Requirements:

- Proven ICI construction management experience (minimum 10 years). This experience could include work as an Assistant Site Superintendent, Senior Carpenter/Foreman, Site Superintendent, or Construction Project Manager.
- Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OHSA regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and technical skills with a focus on teamwork.
- Driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- Clear criminal record.
- Positive physical condition sufficient to meet the demands of the role.
- WHMIS 2015 certification, Working at Heights certification, Supervisor Health & Safety Awareness.
