Benis Bakehouse is a warm and family friendly cafe located on West 4th Avenue in the Kitsilano neighborhood. We have loyal customers, a friendly team, and a positive work environment. Our philosophy is simple; to offer a sweet and welcoming bakery and cafe experience for all customers. We believe that sometimes small things like a delicious coffee and a fresh pastry can brighten someone’s day.

We are now looking for a reliable, organized, and passionate baker to join our bakery team. This person will help us add fresh and new products to our cafe menu and work with the team to maintain high quality daily production.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, breads, and other bakery products from scratch.
- Follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency and quality in all products
- Plan and execute the daily production schedule at the start of each day
- Monitor baking times, oven temperatures, and final product quality
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace following all health and safety standards
- Assist with inventory, order preparation, and support the front of house team when needed

Qualifications:

- Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents




- Previous experience in baking pastries and breads and working in a bakery (min 1 year)
- Ability to work early morning hours and multitask
- Food Safe Level 1 is an asset
- Strong time management skills, work ethic, and problem solving abilities
- Passion for creativity and learning new items with a positive attitude
- Experience in ordering, waste control, and reporting
