Lead Climber / Experienced Tree Worker

Scotty’s Tree Care is looking for an experienced lead climber / professional tree worker to join our growing crew.

We run Isuzu trucks, professional climbing equipment, and top-quality gear. We believe hard work, a good attitude, safe practices, and quality workmanship matter.

What We’re Looking For

- Professional tree-climbing experience
- Comfortable working at heights using ropes and modern climbing techniques
- Experience with rigging and technical tree removals
- Strong chainsaw-handling skills and clean cutting technique
- A safety-first attitude
- Reliable, physically capable, and ready to work outdoors
- Pride in maintaining a clean job site
- Valid driver’s licence
- A positive attitude and sense of humour

A harness, climbing equipment, chainsaw pants, and work boots may be provided to the right candidate.

About the Work:

This is hands-on arboriculture work involving climbing, ropes, rigging, and chainsaws. It is physical, challenging, and sometimes demanding—but it is also one of the most rewarding outdoor careers.

Approximately 10% of our work involves removing large or technical trees in difficult locations. The rest includes:

- Pruning and shaping trees




- Working on trees under approximately 30 feet
- Hedge trimming
- Yard rejuvenation and beautification
- Chipping and cleanup
- Keeping residential and commercial properties looking their best

You will work alongside a tight-knit crew using modern arborist techniques and professional equipment. If you are reliable, hands-on, safety-conscious, and show up ready to work, you will fit right in.

Job Details

Job type: Full-time
Location: Prince Rupert and Port Edward, British Columbia
Pay: $350–$600 per day, depending on experience and ability
Accommodation: Very decent accommodation can be provided for the 90-day probationary / trial period
