Sokil Transportation Group is a well-established, family-owned business specializing in transportation, logistics, and warehousing. With over 74 years of industry experience, we operate and maintain an asset-based fleet of 100+ power units and 300+ trailers, including Volvo, Freightliner, and International trucks for highway operations. Operating three terminals in Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver, we provide reliable transportation and logistics solutions across Western Canada.

What You’ll Do

- Safely operate your Class 1 tractor with our trailer combination on long-haul/highway routes.
- Manage deliveries across Western Canada with adherence to schedule and company standards.
- Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and enroute safety inspections of the vehicle/trailer.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs in compliance with regulatory and company policies.
- Communicate with dispatch, maintenance, and customers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial driving laws and regulations, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Operate within legal weight regulations, including hauling tridem axle configurations with weights up to 46,500 lbs.

What We’re Looking For

- Valid Class 1 driver’s license.




- Truck should not be older than 6 years (2020).
- Low profile tires 22.5 max — no exceptions.
- No trucks with deleted emissions will be accepted.
- Minimum 2-3 years of verifiable Canadian highway / long-haul driving experience; preference given to BC mountain driving.
- Clean driver’s abstract (max 4 demerits or less) and a clean criminal record.
- No impaired driving charges within the last 5 years.
- Experience with electronic logs and regulatory compliance.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Physical ability to load, unload, inspect equipment, and handle cargo up to ~70–75 lbs as required.
- Good communication skills, reliable, punctual, and able to understand and follow all federal hours of service regulations.
