Job Summary

We are a growing warehouse and distribution center looking for an experienced, safety-conscious Forklift Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating industrial vehicles to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Safe Operation: Safely and efficiently operate various types of forklifts (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach Truck, or Order Picker) to load, unload, move, and stack products.
- Material Handling: Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
- Order Picking & Packing: Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist in cycle counts. Report any product damages or quality shortages immediately.
- Maintenance & Safety:



Perform daily equipment inspections (e.g., checking brakes, fluids, and battery) and report any malfunctions. Adhere strictly to company safety policies and OHSA regulations.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse environment clean, organized, and free of hazards. Assist with general warehouse duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills

- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse, wholesale, or distribution environment.
- Certification: Must possess a valid Forklift Operator Certification (Counterbalance/Reach Truck preferred).
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs comfortably and stand/sit for extended periods.
- Skills:
- Strong spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Familiarity with inventory tracking or warehouse management software (WMS) is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and possesses a strong commitment to workplace safety.
