Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas to ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests. This role is as a contractor and is paid per room cleaned. It is essential in delivering exceptional service and upholding the high standards of our hotel. Prior experience in cleaning, hospitality, or custodial work is preferred, but a strong work ethic and attention to detail are most important. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where professionalism and guest satisfaction are prioritised.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitise guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies

Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and common spaces

Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and according to hotel standards

Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to management

Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals responsibly

Restock amenities like towels,



toiletries, and linens as needed

Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff

Qualifications

Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, custodial work, or industrial cleaning is preferred but not required

Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organisation

Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment preferred

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks within scheduled shifts

Good communication skills and a positive attitude

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and reaching

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
