Z’gamok Mining is recruiting a hard-working, self-motivated individual with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Construction Miner Supervisor. The Construction Miner Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of mining and excavation crews on mining sites. This role ensures that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Supervise construction crew in underground construction activities
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct daily safety meetings and site inspections
- Plan and assign work tasks based on project schedules and priorities
- Monitor productivity and ensure work is completed on time and within budget
- Inspect equipment and ensure proper maintenance and protected operation
- Communicate with project managers, engineers, and other departments
- Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members
- Participate in "safety toolbox" meetings
- Participate in safety/incident investigations and reviews
- Comply with all company policies and procedures




- Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist with general labor duties when needed to complete mining projects
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Valid Class G Drivers License
- Minimum of 3 years jackleg and stoper experience underground
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction mining with supervisory experience
- Registered First Line Underground Mine Supervisor Common Core for hard rock operations#770121 OR the Generic First Line Supervisor Common Core for surface mining, diamond drilling, and trades #770141
- Registered Common Core Hard Rock Program #770010
- Knowledge of shotcrete application and rebar construction
- Ability to read and understand mine prints
- Skilled in operating various underground equipment.
- Strong commitment to safety and proper equipment handling.
- Knowing, understanding, communicating and ensuring compliance with the safety regulations (Occupation Health and Safety Act) and safety policies and procedures
- Good organizational abilities, time management and prioritizing skills; able to meet deadlines
- Skilled in operating various underground equipment; scissor deck, Manitou, backhoe, jackleg and stoper experience etc.
- Valid First Aid is considered an assest.
