Junior Designer (Commercial Interiors)

50-55K salary to start with room for advancement

We are looking for a Junior Interior Designer or Architectural Technologist with an eagerness to learn. The ideal fit would be someone who is highly self motivated with excellent communication skills and strong AutoCAD experience. Some experience in Commercial Interiors would be preferred. Small but growing company with room for the right candidate to advance.

Mon-Fri Days
8:30am-5:00pm

Responsibilities

- Create and modify designs on AutoCAD pertaining to Condominium and High Rise interior renovations and refurbishment projects
- Communicate with clients (Condo Owners, Property Managers and General Contractors) in regards to design feasibility, cost, concerns or modifications
- Maintain accurate documentation and project tracking in Excel and via online System




- Communicate with Trades in regards to site or design issues or clarification
- Assist with value engineering and cost reduction initiatives
- Create sample boards and assist with maintaining sample library
- Other general duties as assigned to support office

Qualifications

- College or University Diploma in Interior Design or Architectural Technology
- AUTOCAD experience (mandatory requirement)
- 1-2 years of work experience in Commercial sector
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent computer proficiency on Excel, Powerpoint, Photoshop and Word
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Willingness to help in various areas to support a small office/staff

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
