What are we looking for?
We have a great opportunity for an individual who would like to work in a fully equipped shop and work on unique projects that involves designing, building, and installing high end custom cabinetry for a long-lasting functional and luxury experience in our clients’ spaces.
Some key expectations for the successful candidates are to:
- Visually inspect raw materials before beginning production for quality.
- Read complex blueprints, written specifications, and production drawings and modify when necessary.
- Mark, outline dimensions of parts on paper or wood stock, according to blueprint or drawing specifications.
- Use various hand tools to fabricate and repair high grade wooden cabinets and kitchen hoods.
- Setup and operate woodworking machines, such as saws, jointer, mortiser, tenoner, and shaper to cut, shape and form parts and components.
- Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit using glue and clamps and reinforce joints using nails, screws or other fasteners.
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products.
- Assemble, fit and install prefabricated parts to form subassemblies or finished products.
- Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
- Install and fit all types of hardware components, including hinges, locks and drawer slides.
- Inspect finished products for proper functioning and quality before releasing it to next production stage.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment.
- Other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- Be able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Self-motivated and takes pride in accomplishing their work with excellence and attention to detail.
- Minimum of 2 years of cabinet making experience.
- Solid Understanding of measurements and production drawings.
- Prior experience in using mill machinery and power tools.
Weight Handling
- Ability to bend and lift heavy cabinets when needed (up to 50 pounds/23 Kgs).
