Dr. Huneault is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist that has been practicing in Sudbury since 2000.

Position Profile:

This position performs medical administration and various tasks, on a priority basis, that supports the daily operations of this medical office.

Administratvie Roles and Responsibilities:

*Patient Check In--greeting patients upon arrival to the office; updating patient demographics and health card information.

*Book, reschedule and cancel patient appointments as required; managing daily clinical schedules, lists and patient flow

*Using Alphaglobal (GlobeMed) our Electronic Medical Records System for the above tasks.

*Direct all incoming telephone calls, emails, and mail appropriately; screen all patient related phone calls and relay messages to Dr. Huneault

*Process, Track and Input patient referrals.

*Maintain and update patient clinical records; we use paper charts

*Input patient data, schedule and organize and submit Dr. Huneaults' weekly Operating Room schedule using Horizon (training provided at Health Sciences North and in the office)

*Schedule and organize biweekly or monthly Colposcopy lists for submission to Health Sciences North

*Typing dictations and patient notes

*Set up and maintain examination rooms, including ordering and keeping track of medical equipment and supplies.

*Process patient specimens during clinic days and ensure proper labeling

*Perform proper sterilization techniques on instruments





*Ensure general cleanliness of office including waiting room, private washroom and exam rooms.

*Participate in training as required.

Skills, knowledge and job requirements:

*Diploma in Medical Office Administration or Health related field and/or related experience

*Proficient in medical terminology

*Bilingual French/English preferred

*Proficiency in computer applications: Windows etc

*Proficiency in typing and general computer skills.

*Experience with OLIS (Ontario Laboratories Information System) is an asset

*Experience with Electronic Medical Records is an asset, but training will be provided.

*Exceptional organizational skills and strong problem solving skills.

*Excellent interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills.

*Ability to maintain confidentiality and impartiality.

*Professionalism when dealing with sensitive issues

*Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

*Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

*Reliability is a must.

Hours of Work: Part-time Tuesday to Thursday

Mondays (optional depending on workload)

Pay: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience

In office parking is a possibility

In person work only.

Extensive training, via shadowing, will be provided.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
