Service Manager – New Car Dealership
A well-established new car dealership is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead our service department. The successful candidate will have a strong background in automotive fixed operations, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver outstanding customer satisfaction. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity in the Burlington area.
Position Overview
The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the service department, including staff management, customer service, workflow optimization, and profitability. The ideal candidate is organized, solutions-driven, and experienced in fostering a team environment that prioritizes efficiency, quality, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the service department team, including service advisors, technicians, and support staff
- Monitor daily operations to ensure workflow, productivity, and repair quality meet dealership and manufacturer standards
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and respond promptly to any service-related concerns
- Oversee appointment scheduling, repair timelines, and shop capacity to ensure efficient turnaround
- Manage department budget, including cost control, labor sales, and profit margins
- Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency, CSI scores, and employee performance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer policies
- Work closely with parts and sales departments to coordinate service activities and customer follow-up
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop strategies to meet or exceed targets
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a dealership service department, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of automotive service operations, warranty processing, and repair procedures
- Proven ability to lead a high-performing team and resolve conflicts constructively
- Experience with dealership management software (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, PBS, or similar)
- Valid Ontario G driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must have own transportation (no demos provided)
- Solid communication, organizational, and customer service skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $44,637.26-$113,940.93 per year
