Care Professional / Home Support Worker – Richmond, BC
Drivers and Public Transit Users Welcome
Location: Richmond, BC
Position Type: Part time
Pay: $19.02–$21.47 per hour, based on experience
Applicants must live in Richmond or be willing and able to travel reliably to clients’ homes throughout Richmond. Applicants must also be available to work at least one weekend day each week, either Saturday or Sunday.

Home Instead Richmond is hiring Part-Time Care Professionals / Home Support Workers to support seniors in their own homes. This opportunity is open to both drivers and individuals who use public transportation, provided they can reliably travel to clients’ homes throughout Richmond.
As a Care Professional, you will provide non-medical support, companionship, personal care, and household assistance while helping older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
- Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and other personal care
- Prepare meals and complete light housekeeping
- Provide dementia and Alzheimer’s support when required
- Accompany clients on walks or nearby community outings when appropriate
- Complete accurate care documentation using the WellSky Care App
- Communicate changes in a client’s condition to the office team
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum six months of professional caregiving, home support, or senior care experience
- Ability to travel reliably to clients’ homes throughout Richmond
- Availability to work at least one weekend day each week, either Saturday or Sunday
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on client needs
- Strong communication skills
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
A driver’s licence and vehicle are welcome but are not required for this position.
Additional Requirements
- Must live in Richmond or be willing and able to commute to Richmond for scheduled shifts
- Must be comfortable travelling between client homes using a personal vehicle or public transportation
- Must be available for a variety of shift lengths and times
- Schedules may vary depending on client needs
