Responsibilities

As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care that may include:

- Assisting with all activities of daily living
- Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Feeding and hydration assistance
- Safe lifts, transfers, and mobility support
- Dementia care using person-centered approaches (GPA principles considered an asset)
- Medication reminders (as appropriate)
- Maintaining accurate care documentation
- Creating a calm, respectful, and supportive environment
- Communicating professionally with families and the care team

Qualifications





Required

- PSW Certificate
- Must have minimum of 9 years as a Personal Support Worker
- Palliative or end-of-life care
- Experience providing full personal care
- Comfortable with lifts, transfers, toileting, bathing, and feeding
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently in a private home

Preferred

Experience in one or more of the following:

- Home care
- Retirement homes
- Long-term care
- Group homes
- Community Living
- Participation House
- Brain injury programs
- Dementia care
- GPA (Gentle Persuasive Approaches) training
- Experience mentoring or training other PSWs

Schedule

We offer flexible scheduling with shifts available:

- Days
- Afternoons
- Evenings
- Overnights
- Weekdays
- Weekends

While shifts cannot be guaranteed, care is provided 24/7, so applicants with open availability are strongly preferred.

- CA$24.00–CA$26.00 per hour

Note: In order to be considered for the position you must answer the screening questions and have at least 9 years of experience of Personal Support Worker experience.

Work Location

In person (Cambridge, ON)

Expected hours: 4.0 – 20.0 per week
