Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dock Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with loading and unloading cargo, securing shipments, and maintaining dock operations. This role requires physical stamina, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Dock Hand plays a vital part in ensuring smooth logistics operations and safety at the dock.

Duties

- Load and unload shipments from trucks, ships, or containers using appropriate equipment
- Perform basic mechanical tasks related to dock equipment and cargo handling tools
- Conduct routine inspections of dock areas and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dock area to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate shipment schedules and ensure timely deliveries
- Operate forklifts or other machinery as required, following safety protocols

Qualifications





- Prior experience with rigging or cargo handling is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or background is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Positive communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Physical stamina to stand, lift, and move throughout the shift
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Pay: $145.00-$155.00 per day
