BGC Wolf Creek is seeking a Child Care Program Coordinator for our Lacombe location. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children 5-12 and dedicated to creating a safe and caring environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Supervise and engage with children in a supportive and nurturing manner
- Ensure all Child Care Programs and programming facility comply with regulations
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of facilities
- Demonstrate a proactive, appropriate and positive approach to behaviour management issues and conflict resolution situations.
- Organize program supplies
- Assist Manager to recruit, hire, supervise and train recent child care programming assistants

Qualifications:

- Minimum 18 years of age or older
- Previous experience working with children and/or youth
- Have completed secondary education in a related field or the equivalency of a Level Two Child Care Worker, as approved by Child Care Licensing Regulations




- Have flexibility in being able to work during non-business hours
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification

Hours:

OPTION 1 -30-33 hours/week

- Sept to June
- Split Shifts (Before/After School and full day program times)
- July and August hours TBD
- Schedule subject to change

OPTION 2 - 25-28 hours/week

- Sept to June
- After School and Full Day program times
- July and August hours TBD
- Schedule subject to change

Remuneration:

- Level 2 - $18.00/hr - $5.05/hr Wage Top Up
- Level 3 - $19.00/hr - $8.62/hr Wage Top up

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Lacombe, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
