Job description
Coastal Mountain Child & Youth Services Ltd is looking for Casual Residential Child & Youth Worker in the Cowichan Valley. The position works with high-risk children/youth in a home environment. The role will provide a treatment-focused approach with an emphasis on trauma-informed practice.
Starting Wage is $27.54 with a 3-month probation period.
Must be enrolled and/or have completed a 2-year Child & Youth Care diploma or be enrolled in the 3rd year of a Child & Youth Care BA or related field. Experience is preferred in the social service sector. Written and oral communication will be part of the daily expectations. The ability to work on your own as well as in a team setting in a very fast changing environment. The environment can be stressful. Staff need to be able to set boundaries and work within a multidisciplinary team within the community.
