Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced 310T/421A Mechanic OR 3RD year apprentice to join our maintenance team. we have positions in the shop or field service with a service truck The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience working with transport trucks, trailers, or heavy equipment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment including Peterbilt, Kenworth, various trailers, Catpillar, and Komatsu The 310T/421A Mechanic will ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely, supporting the overall productivity of our operations.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment such transport trucks, trailers, excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoe, rock trucks.
- Diagnose mechanical issues
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs on industrial equipment
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools effectively
- Operate machinery and trucks for testing or troubleshooting purposes when necessary
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working setting during all repair activities
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used
- Assist with assembly or installation of new equipment as needed




- Support other team members with technical expertise in mechanical systems

Requirements

- Proven mechanic experience with truck and coach or heavy equipment
- Valid 310T/421A mechanic certification or equivalent qualification or 3rd year
- Dealership experience or fleet work preferred but not required
- Hands-on experience with Peterbilt, Kenworth, various trailers, Catpillar, Komatsu, AC systems, welding.
- Strong knowledge of transport truck repair and heavy-duty machinery maintenance
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently
- Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks
- problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service orientation when interacting with clients or team members
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license preferred for equipment operation or travel between sites ( air brake endorsement is a asset)

Pay: $38.00-$48.00 per hour
