Tree of Life Montessori Academy is seeking two passionate Montessori educators to join our caring, faith-filled team for the upcoming school year.

1. Montessori Infant Instructor (Birth to 3 Years)2. Montessori Casa Instructor (Ages 3 to 6 Years)

About the Role

As a Montessori Instructor, you will create and maintain a prepared Montessori environment where children are inspired to learn through exploration, hands-on experiences, and purposeful work. You will guide each child according to their individual developmental needs while fostering their academic, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain a beautiful, organized, and authentic Montessori classroom.
- Plan and present Montessori lessons and activities appropriate for each child's developmental stage.
- Foster children's cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development.
- Create a warm, nurturing, respectful, and inclusive classroom community.
- Observe, assess, and document each child's progress using Montessori observation practices.
- Individualize learning experiences based on each child's interests and developmental needs.
- Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families regarding children's growth and development.
- Maintain accurate classroom documentation, observations, attendance,



daily reports, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and leadership to create a positive, supportive team environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, school events, and ongoing Montessori training.
- Ensure compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), Ministry of Education licensing requirements, Toronto Public Health regulations, and centre policies.

QualificationsMontessori Infant Instructor (Birth–3)

Applicants must have:

- Montessori Infant Diploma (Birth to 3) from a MACTE or AMI accredited program
- Experience working with infants and toddlers in a Montessori environment preferred

Montessori Casa Instructor (3–6)

Applicants must have:

- Montessori Casa Diploma (Ages 3 to 6) from a MACTE or AMI accredited program
- Experience working in a Montessori Casa classroom preferred

Requirements (Both Positions)

- Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C Certification
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check
- Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and child development
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a professional teaching team
- Passion for authentic Montessori education and Christian values
- Commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning workplace

Assets

- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)
- French or another language
- Experience using educational software and digital documentation platforms




- Previous Montessori teaching experience in a licensed childcare or school setting
