Night Baker (Early Morning Production) – The Hidden Gem

The Hidden Gem is hiring a Night Baker to take ownership of our early morning production.

This is one of the most trusted roles in our kitchen — you’re setting the foundation for the entire day’s service.

It’s a quiet, focused role that requires consistency, independence, and pride in your work. You’ll be working solo in the early hours, moving through a transparent set of systems and leaving the space ready for the day ahead.

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Sunday (there is some flexibility with days)

12:00 AM – 8:00 AM or 6:00pm - 12am
(Must be able to commit to a minimum of three shifts consistently)

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

- Baking potatoes to spec, cooling, and storing correctly for service
- Producing cookie doughs and core baked components
- Completing additional prep (compotes, curds, etc.) as needed
- Following recipes and organizational systems with consistency and care




- Working swiftly - completing all assigned prep items while maintaining accuracy and a clean workspace
- Completing the morning bakeoff for the day: Muffins, Scones, Cookies, and Savoury goods
- Fully cleaning and resetting the kitchen, including all dishes, before the next baker's shift
- Handing off a clean, organized, fully prepped space to the next baker (full duties list complete)

Pay: Hourly range is based on experience + tips (~$4 - 6/ hour)

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
