Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of the role is to provide remote support to our live systems in the field. This will include:

· Live monitoring of Gmax systems at multiple locations around the world.

· Communicating promptly and clearly with the on-site operators, to answer questions, fix problems and prevent mistakes.

· Meticulous recording of issues and faults with operations or with the system.

· Live fault finding and problem solving. When there is a system fault, take preliminary steps to discover the source of the fault, for aid in the eventual repair/fix.

· Live or post event monitoring of trial or upgrade systems, for testing, validation or data gathering purposes.

In addition to this, we are a dynamic growing company and so the duties may vary considerably, and they may develop as the company grows. Furthermore, it is expected that majority of the role will be computer based; however, from time to time the work may also include hands-on work, travel, and working outdoors. Additional duties may include:

· On-site or in-office fault finding and repairs.

· Preparing, packaging,



and shipping products to and from customers for repair, upgrade or new installations.

· Maintain good records of their work, typically a logbook, keep good record keeping practices, and from time to time contribute to the writing of documentation and instructions.

· Assist in the planning, documentation and execution of research, development work and testing. Many times, a year, they may be required to assist in testing for new developments and enhancements, this may include outdoor testing and also analysis of data such as measurement logs or video recordings.

· Assist in the manufacture and testing of products, prototypes, or test fixtures.

· Assisting with general office admin tasks

Qualifications:

Post-Secondary Diploma and higher or certificate in IT or related fields.

Strong Microsoft Windows computer based skills, including MS Office familiarity

Strong verbal and written communication in English.

Calm under pressure and able to problem solve and find suitable solutions and compromises under tight (live) time constraints.

Be a Self-starter and a team player

Ability to learn and quickly comprehend new technical and business concepts

Flexible or Continental hours. Needs to be able to work evening and weekend shifts

Additional Skills:

Strong data analysis skills, including manipulating data in Excel or other tools using custom formula will be an asset

Basic Experience using Python or other computational programs for data analysis will be an asset. Training will be provided

Experience working with databases ( MS Access.)

A basic understanding of Local Area Networks (LANs)

Previous experience in an IT support role would be an asset

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$19.50 per hour
