Job Description

JSM Law is looking to hire an experienced Personal Injury Law Clerk to join their team.

The position is an in-office, full-time permanent position.

Responsibilities for the Law Clerk include, but are not limited to:

- General file handling and management (on Tort files and Accident Benefits files)
- Preparation and drafting of correspondence and legal documents (including motion records, Statement of Claim, pre-trial/mediation memos, pleadings, affidavits of documents, etc.) for filing and service
- Drafting correspondence to be sent to Insurance Companies, medical facilities and clients
- Drafting LAT Applications, drafting Case Conference Summaries
- Complete OCF forms in accordance with the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS)
- Research, communication with clients, correspondence with opposing counsel
- Being familiar with the process of Examinations for Discovery
- Requesting productions and undertakings
- Other duties as required.

Qualifications for Law Clerk

- 3+ years of experience at a law firm
- Interest, expertise and demonstrated previous experience in Personal Injury Law;




- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
- Exceptional time management, organizational and prioritization skills;
- Advanced familiarity with the Rules of Civil Procedure and the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule
- Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team oriented atmosphere
- Strong work ethics;
