Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
Schedule: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with overtime up to 6:00 PM as required.

Job Overview

We are currently hiring a Production Team Lead on behalf of a growing food manufacturing company located in Toronto. This role is ideal for candidates with prior food industry experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work in a hands-on production environment.

The Production Team Lead will oversee daily production activities, support staff on the floor, and ensure operational efficiency, quality standards, and safety procedures are maintained. This position requires working in a low-temperature environment and performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting.

Fluency in Mandarin is a solid asset for this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production staff on the manufacturing floor
- Ensure production targets and quality standards are met
- Train, support, and guide team members to maintain productivity and efficiency




- Communicate production updates and issues with management
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, company policies, and workplace safety standards
- Assist with hands-on production tasks when required, including lifting and material handling
- Monitor workflow and address operational issues promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized production environment

Requirements

- Previous experience in the food manufacturing or food processing industry
- Fluency in Mandarin strongly preferred
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a low-temperature production environment
- Physically capable of performing repetitive and physically demanding tasks, including lifting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow food safety procedures
- Reliable, responsible, and able to lead by example
