About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting & Consolidations to join its growing corporate finance team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this newly created role will play a key part in building and supporting the organization's consolidated financial reporting and controllership function within a growing, multi-entity organization operating across Canada and the United States.

Working closely with the Corporate Controller, you will help establish scalable reporting processes, consolidation frameworks, and internal controls to support the organization's continued growth. You will be actively involved in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, consolidations, financial reporting, acquisition integrations, and continuous process improvements. Key Responsibilities:

- Support the Corporate Controller in building and enhancing the organization's consolidated financial reporting framework.
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting working papers.
- Prepare and support the consolidation of financial results across multiple entities, including intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, validation, and consolidation reporting.




- Analyze financial results and perform variance analysis to support management reporting and decision-making.
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial information across multiple legal entities.
- Support the preparation of financial statements, Board reporting materials, and other internal and external reporting deliverables.
- Assist in developing and enhancing accounting policies, reporting procedures, and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with regional finance teams to resolve accounting issues and support accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with integrating newly acquired businesses into standardized accounting and reporting processes.
- Support the annual external audit, including audit schedules, supporting documentation, and auditor requests.
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including the implementation and enhancement of consolidation and reporting tools.

Qualifications:

- CPA designation is required; candidates nearing completion of the designation may also be considered.
- Minimum five years of progressive accounting,



financial reporting, or consolidation experience required.
- Strong knowledge of ASPE and its application to financial accounting and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with multi-entity consolidations, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
- Strong foundation in month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with consolidation software, financial reporting tools, ERP systems, and advanced Excel.
- Exposure to implementing or improving consolidation and reporting systems is highly valued.
- Public accounting experience is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across regional and corporate teams.
- Organized, accountable, and comfortable working in an evolving environment where processes are still being built.

The posted salary range reflects expected compensation for this role in accordance with Ontario pay transparency requirements. Actual compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications and may fall anywhere within the range.
