About Polaron Comfort Corp.
Polaron Comfort Corp. is seeking an experienced, incorporated HVAC contractor to provide installation, maintenance, and repair services for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings. This is a business-to-business engagement, not employment. The successful contractor will operate independently, control the means and methods of their work, and deliver high-quality services with professionalism and efficiency.

Nature of the Engagement
This opportunity is offered on an independent contractor basis to a properly incorporated business. The contractor is not an employee and will not receive employee benefits, source deductions, or employment entitlements. The contractor is responsible for how services are performed, subject only to the specifications of each job and applicable codes and standards.

- Work is offered on a per-appointment basis, with a typical volume of 2–3 appointments per day

- Appointments are offered within the contractor's stated availability; the contractor may accept or decline work

- The contractor supplies their own tools and vehicle

Mandatory Contractor Requirements
The contractor must, before engagement and for its duration:

- Operate through their own incorporated business

- Hold a valid TSSA license under the incorporation

- Maintain WSIB coverage in good standing

- Carry their own commercial general liability insurance

Scope of Services

- Install HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation units in accordance with manufacturer specifications and schematics

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for accurate installation





- Perform maintenance and repairs on existing HVAC systems as required

- Complete plumbing connections related to HVAC units, ensuring proper water supply and drainage

- Work with mechanical components such as boilers, appliances, and related equipment

- Troubleshoot system issues using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools

- Ensure all installations comply with applicable codes, safety standards, and manufacturer requirements

- Maintain a clean work site and document completed work accurately

Qualifications and Competencies

- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance procedures

- Mechanical experience with boilers, appliances, plumbing, welding, and general construction work

- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams effectively

- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations related to HVAC installation

- Experience with mechanical components such as pumps, fans, ductwork, and thermostats

- Construction experience is an asset for understanding building structures during installation

- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

- Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail

- Effective communication for coordinating appointments and liaising with clients

Required Licenses and Credentials

- Valid G2 gas license

- Valid Class G driver's license

- Incorporated business that is TSSA licensed, WSIB-registered, and insured (as above)
