We’re hiring: Elementary Teacher

Inspire young learners and help shape bright futures. Sturgeon Public Schools is currently seeking a Part-Time Temporary Elementary Teacher for a work assignment at Landing Trail School.
Landing Trail School, located in Gibbons, serves approximately 400 students from preschool to Grade 4. The school also offers non-denominational Christian faith-based LOGOS programming to around 80 students, supporting spiritual growth while delivering the Alberta curriculum. Known for its dynamic, student-centered learning environment, Landing Trail is a place where both staff and students thrive.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Teach a Grade 3 classroom while delivering engaging General Music instruction that fosters creativity, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music
- Provide engaging and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to enhance learning
- Inspire students through hands-on, inquiry-based learning that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and critical thinking
- Build robust relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Contribute to school initiatives and the broader school community
What You Bring
- A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Experience teaching grade 3 and general music instruction
- Classroom management that fosters a safe and caring environment
- Strong skills in using educational technology to support learning
- Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
