Job Summary:

We are currently accepting resumes for an experienced Local 5-Ton Driver based from our Terrace, BC terminal, driving for the day shift operating from Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

A typical day in this role includes:

- Local pickup and delivery work with a 5 Ton truck equipped with Power Tail Gate.
- Loading and unloading trucks and trailers with a forklift as needed
- Proactively adhering to a high standard of safety and be safety conscious




- Conduct pre-trip inspections
- Complete forms and paperwork as required
- Completing work & tasks under minimal supervision

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this role:

- Must have a valid Class 5 licence. Air Brake Endorsement is an asset, but not required.
- Must submit a driver's abstract must show no driving-related criminal code convictions in the prior 36 months; no more than 2 moving violations in the prior 12 months; and no more than 3 moving violations in the prior 36 months. The date of conviction and the current date will be the date used to determine time periods
- Must pass a pre-employment screening
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Should be comfortable interacting with customers and providing excellent customer service
- Has 2+ years of experience in commercial driving
- Preferably knows the National Safety Code Cargo Securement Standard 10
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Is proficient in English, both in reading and writing
