Job description:

Working under a crew foreman, worker will be part of a 2–4-person crew working throughout AB, BC, and SK in Oilsands facilities, Gas Plants and Petro-Chemical facilities. Dry ice blasting experience not necessary but oilfield experience would be an asset. Applicants will be required to have the following certificates prior to starting, assistance is available. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT LOCAL TO PONOKA, ALBERTA.

- Standard first aid w/BC endorsement
- WHMIS
- CSO (Energy Safety Canada)
- CSE(Energy Safety Canada)
- Fall protection (Energy Safety Canada)
- H2S Alive (Energy Safety Canada)

Applicants must.

- BE LOCAL TO PONOKA ALBERTA
- Be at least 18 years old
- Speak good english
- Test negative for 13 panel drug test (including marijuana)
- Possess a driver’s licence and means of transportation to shop (10 mins west of Ponoka)
- Possess a phone and plan so we can communicate with you
- Provide high top, lace-up CSA approved work boots in good condition with a defined heel (no iron worker boots or slip-ons)
- Be able to work away from home for extended periods of time
- Be physically fit, able to bend, crouch, kneel and work overhead
- Work in hot, dusty environments




- Be able to work at heights on scaffolding and elevated work platforms and in confined spaces (once trained)
- Be comfortable while working with air purifying respirators and supplied air breathing apparatus (once trained)

Key responsibilities.

- Assist in maintaining our company’s safety culture by adopting safe work procedures with positive attitude
- Work according to rules and regulations set by OH&S;, Brothers, and our clients
- Participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments and near miss reporting
- Operate dry ice blasters, air compressors, generators in oilfield facilities

Wage.

Workers will start at $26-$28/hr depending on experiences. Overtime will be paid after 8 hrs each weekday and on weekends. Travel is paid at regular wage. PPE is provided (except boots as per above). Worker will be trained to be a supervisor which will take 1-4 years. Once promoted to supervisor, wage will go up significantly.
