Our Residential Building Caretakers are essential to ICR and our clients. A customer-focused attitude coupled with a solid work ethic will be essential in this role. The Residential Building Caretaker will be responsible for overseeing ICR-managed properties in a responsive and professional manner.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Ø Provides responsive and professional customer service to all owners and tenants.

Ø Delivers communications to owners and tenants on behalf of ICR Property Management.

Ø Completes regular building inspections and property cleaning (exterior and interior).

Ø Coordinates with trades for maintenance issues and repairs.

Ø Completes work orders, as required.

Ø Communicates and collaborates with Property Managers to solve challenges.

Ø Performs all other duties, as assigned.

Ø Provides assistance and holiday/sick coverage for existing Residential Building Operators and Caretakers.

Ø Proficiency with MS Office, but the ability to learn new software with ease.

Education and Skills:

Ø High school diploma/GED and 1-year experience in the operation and maintenance of buildings.

Ø Experience or knowledge of building components: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.

Ø Superior safety practices – WHMIS and CPR First Aid is an asset.

Ø Must be mechanically inclined.

Ø Skid steer certificate is an asset, but willingness to complete the training if not certified

Ø Must have a valid class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Working Conditions:

Ø Physically able to lift up to 50lbs.

Ø Required to be on-call as necessary and overtime, as required.

Ø Hazards associated with the trade, which can include indoor and outdoor settings, and construction sites.
