About Us:

We are a privately owned historic estate set on ten beautifully maintained acres in southern Alberta, centered on a 110-year-old mansion with all the grace and charm of a classic Southern estate. Over the past decade we have carefully restored and expanded the property into an exclusive, destination wedding and event venue, including a 4,500 sq. ft. ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lawns, gardens, and outdoor stone patio.

Our reputation is built on immaculate grounds, a flawless guest experience, and a property that looks its absolute best every single event day. We are now looking for the right individual — or couple — to take ownership of keeping it that way.

The Opportunity

This is a rare live-in role for someone who takes genuine pride in caring for a property and treats it as their own. You will be the person who keeps the estate in show-ready condition year-round: the grounds, the gardens, the equipment, and the interior guest spaces of the mansion.

The rhythm of the work is seasonal, much like a farming or ranching operation. Expect longer, busier days during our peak event season (spring through fall) and a lighter, steadier pace in the quieter months. We value results and reliability over rigid hours.

As part of your compensation, you’ll live in office in two beautifully updated and comfortable private suites on the third floor of the mansion — a genuinely special place to call home.

What You'll Be Responsible For

GROUND AND SEASONAL MAINTENANCE

- Lawn care, tree and garden maintenance, and keeping the grounds immaculate throughout the event season
- Fall: large-scale leaf cleanup as the trees drop
- Winter: snow and ice clearing of roadways, parking lots, the deck, walkways, and sidewalks
- Spring: winter cleanup and preparing the property for the season ahead
- Operating and maintaining the underground sprinkler systems.

EQUIPMENT AND GENERAL MAINTENANCE

- Safe operation yard tractor, to include snow removal in winter and lawn moving in summer.
- Routine upkeep, minor repairs,



and general maintenance of the mansion, patios, and grounds
- Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

INTERIOR HOUSEKEEPING (HOTEL-STANDARD)

- Keeping the five second-floor guest rooms in immaculate, guest-ready condition
- Managing linens, towels, bedding, and guest supplies, much like a boutique hotel
- Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the mansion’s common spaces

GUEST EXPERIENCE

- Occasional, minimal interaction with wedding guests — always with a warm, professional, and welcoming manner
- On wedding days: setup and takedown of ceremony chairs (with support from catering staff when needed for very large events)

HOSPITALITY AND CHARACTER

- A natural, warm, and hospitable manner and a heart for excellent guest service
- Mature, self-motivated, and good common sense
- Reliable, trustworthy, discreet, and pride in the estate (inside and out)
- Able to work independently and complete tasks with minimal oversight (after full training)

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

- A well-established track record in yard work, grounds keeping, and general home/property maintenance
- Confident operating a yard tractor
- Underground sprinkler experience is an asset
- General equipment maintenance experience an asset
- Hotel, housekeeping, or hospitality-service background a strong asset

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS





- Able to safely perform the essential physicals duties of the position, including prolonged standing and walking, outdoor work in varying weather conditions, lifting up to 50 lbs and operating grounds – maintenance equipment.

Individuals and couples both welcome: This role is well suited to one capable, well-rounded individual who can confidently cover both the outdoor and indoor sides of the work. We would also happily consider a couple, who might naturally divide and complement the responsibilities — one leaning toward grounds and equipment, the other toward interior housekeeping and guest-ready detail. Either way, we’ll shape the role around the right fit.

What We Offer

- Competitive annual salary (Range of $50,000 - $65,000)
- Private, fully furnished live-in accommodation (two updated third-floor suites), designed to comfortably accommodate one or two adults; occupancy is limited to the caretaker(s)
