Job Summary

Sluyter Company Ltd., a Canadian manufacturer of high-performance solvent cements, primers, adhesives, and specialty chemical products for the plumbing and industrial sectors, is seeking a qualified E-Commerce Specialist to lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of its B2B e-commerce platform on Shopify.

This role requires a results-oriented professional with strong technical proficiency in Shopify, proven experience in B2B digital commerce, and the ability to manage complex product catalogs involving technical specifications and compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

- Design, configure, and launch the company’s Shopify (or Shopify Plus) e-commerce platform, including product architecture, collections, variants, navigation, and user experience.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive technical product catalog, ensuring accurate product data, specifications, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and supporting technical documentation.

Implement and manage B2B functionality, including company accounts, customer-specific pricing, gated catalogs, and order management workflows.

Configure payment gateways, shipping parameters, tax settings, and related operational rules appropriate for industrial and regulated products.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders across sales, operations, warehouse, and technical teams, as well as external service providers.

Oversee catalog accuracy, content updates, and continuous improvement of the online store following launch.

Support soft-launch and full-launch activities with existing wholesale and distributor customers.





Establish and maintain clear documentation and standard operating procedures for ongoing platform management.

Requirements

- Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience administering and optimizing Shopify stores, with demonstrated preference for B2B or wholesale environments.

Proven ability to structure, upload, and manage complex multi-variant product catalogs.

Experience implementing customer account structures, pricing rules, and third-party application integrations.

Solid attention to detail, organizational skills, and capacity to manage technical product information.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across functional teams.

Demonstrated capacity to manage projects from planning through execution with limited supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience supporting industrial, construction, plumbing, chemical, or other technical B2B product lines.

Familiarity with Shopify Plus and advanced B2B features.

Working knowledge of Canadian e-commerce requirements, including taxation and shipping considerations.

Experience with web analytics and basic conversion optimization practices.
