Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans for patients across various settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments.
- Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness, adjusting treatments as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services tailored to individual needs, including managing cases involving dementia care, pediatric patients, seniors, and those with complex comorbidities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, ensuring seamless case management and continuity of treatment.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, medication management, and coping strategies to empower self-care.
- Maintain accurate documentation using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner,



ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Stay current with medical terminology updates, psychiatric best practices, and emerging treatment modalities to deliver evidence-based care.

Requirements

- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with certification in psychiatric mental health (PMHNP) or equivalent credentials.
- Proven experience working with children, pediatrics, seniors, or in acute care settings such as hospitals or nursing homes.
- Demonstrated expertise in medication administration, pain management, dementia care, and laboratory procedures like phlebotomy.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems including Epic and Cerner; prior medical office experience is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and case management principles for diverse patient populations.
- Experience in assisted living facilities or home care environments is a plus.
- Excellent patient care skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
