Responsibilities

- Safely operate heavy trucks, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting to secure shipments properly
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules and reduce transit times
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or issues
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in accordance with regulatory standards




- Assist with warehouse duties such as loading, unloading, and organizing freight when necessary

Experience

- Proven experience operating heavy trucks or commercial vehicles in a professional setting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily duties
- Strong driving record demonstrating safe and responsible operation of large vehicles
- Familiarity with route planning, GPS navigation, and delivery documentation processes
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle class required for the role
