Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Vertical Machining Center (VMC) Operator or Machinist with expertise in Fanuc controls to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating vertical machining centers to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your mechanical knowledge, proficiency with CNC programming, and familiarity with CAD software will be essential in ensuring efficient production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to high-quality manufacturing projects.

Duties

- Set up and operate vertical machining centers equipped with Fanuc CNC controls, ensuring optimal machine performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models created in SolidWorks or similar software to accurately produce parts.
- Program CNC machines using G-code or conversational programming to achieve exact specifications.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards.
- Use hand tools, calipers, power tools, and welding equipment as needed for part finishing and assembly tasks.
- Conduct quality inspections using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions against blueprints.




- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.

Qualifications

- Proven experience operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) with Fanuc controls in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Basic math skills for calculating measurements, tolerances, and machining parameters.
- Familiarity with CNC programming languages such as G-code; experience with CNC lathe or milling machines is a plus.
- Proficiency in CAD software like SolidWorks or other design tools for understanding part designs.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, assembly, welding, and use of forklift and crane for material handling.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to safety compliance.
