Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our production team. A press brake operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machinery to bend and shape metal parts accurately according to blueprints and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Reading and interpreting blueprints and job orders: Operators must understand technical drawings to determine the correct bends, angles, and specifications for each metal piece
- Machine setup and operation:



This includes selecting and installing appropriate tooling and dies, calibrating machine settings such as pressure and bending angles, and positioning metal sheets accurately on the press brake. CNC press brakes may require programming or adjusting pre-programmed parameters to achieve accurate bends
- Quality control and inspection: Operators use precision measuring tools like calipers and protractors to inspect first parts and in-process components, ensuring all finished pieces meet design specifications and are free of defects
- Maintenance and troubleshooting: Routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs of the press brake are essential to maintain performance. Operators monitor machine performance and report malfunctions or discrepancies to supervisors
- Safety compliance: Press brake operators must follow all safety protocols, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhere to OSHA guidelines to prevent accidents during operation
- Collaboration and record-keeping: Operators often work with other team members to optimize production processes and maintain accurate production records, documenting materials used and completed parts

Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience operating a press brake (preferred)
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and safety standards
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, etc.)
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail

Salary

Hourly compensation: $25-30/hr

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
