Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Psychiatric Physician Assistant to join our dynamic mental health team. Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients across various age groups, including pediatrics and adults.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising psychiatrists.
- Administer medications, monitor their effectiveness, and adjust prescriptions as needed to optimize patient care.
- Utilize electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Cerner to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Manage acute care cases, including crisis interventions and urgent psychiatric needs, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
- Collect and analyze data related to patient progress, medication efficacy, and treatment outcomes to inform clinical decisions.
- Support pain management initiatives by integrating psychiatric approaches when applicable, ensuring holistic patient care.




- Participate in research projects or quality improvement initiatives to advance mental health practices and patient safety.
- Maintain compliance with medical terminology standards, hospital protocols, and regulatory requirements for safe medication administration and patient care.
- Engage in home care or outpatient follow-up services to promote ongoing recovery and support for patients outside the clinical setting.

Experience

- Prior hospital experience working within a psychiatric or behavioral health setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Cerner is essential for efficient documentation.
- Proven skills in managing acute care situations, including crisis intervention and urgent psychiatric assessments.
- Experience in pain management or related fields adds valuable insight into comprehensive patient treatment plans.
- Pediatric experience is advantageous for providing specialized care to younger populations requiring psychiatric support.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, phlebotomy procedures, and data collection techniques enhances clinical effectiveness.
