Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team at a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute care, pediatric care, and medication administration.

Location: Victoria Hospital

Rate: $85/hr

Per diem: $33.00 (Applicable per working day only)

Contract period:

ASAP – June 30, 2025

April 21- June 30, 2025

May 22 – June 30, 2025

March 16 – June 30, 2025

Location: Prince Albert, Saskatchewan

*Accommodation, mileage and travel hours are included*

Responsibilities:

- Conduct patient assessments and recommend appropriate respiratory care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and adjust ventilator settings as needed.
- Perform diagnostic tests, such as arterial blood gas analysis and cardiopulmonary functions tests.
- Operate and monitor respiratory equipment to administer treatments such as oxygen, oxygen-air mixtures, humidified air or specialty medical gases.
- Operate, monitor, maintain and test a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.
- Perform or assist with interventions such as airway maintenance, line insertions, inductions and intubations, and manage patients and associated equipment.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and treatment plan.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.




- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Registered Respiratory Therapist license
- Experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in acute setting.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of respiratory conditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced environment
- Experience with pediatric patients
- Knowledge of advanced respiratory therapies
- Familiarity with various respiratory equipment and devices
