General Labourer
We are currently looking for permanent full-time employees (this opportunity is not suitable for students) available to work Monday through Friday; 9 hour shifts between 6am-3pm (OT available) within our cooked food area. You will be helping with the prepping and production of cooked meat products. There are advancement opportunities to move into a meat cutter/butcher role for the right candidates.

Work environment

- Physically demanding and fast paced
- Handling of heavy loads - lifting 50 pnds
- Departments are refrigerated/Colder conditions
- Noisy and some areas may have odours
- Transport raw material, finished products and packaging materials throughout plant and warehouse manually, or with powered equipment
- Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
- Remove filled containers from conveyors and manually pack goods into bags or other containers
- Clean Work Areas




- Check products and packaging for basic quality defects
- Sort, pack, crate and package materials and product
- Preform general labouring duties

Abilities:

- Experience in Food Processing is an asset
- Ability to work under pressure to meet production deadlines
- Ability to lift approximately 50lbs
- Ability to preform physical and repetitive job duties
- A commitment to safety and quality practices
- Attention to detail and also demonstrate hand-eye coordination
- Basic English communication skills
- You are legally eligible to work in Canada

Hours:

Must be available Monday - Friday between 6am-3pm - Nine hour shifts - OT available
