Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our bridal retail team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional service, demonstrating products, and assisting customers in making informed purchasing decisions. This position offers an engaging environment where communication skills, technical knowledge, and a passion for sales are highly valued. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology or retail sales are considered strong assets. The Sales Assistant will contribute to creating a welcoming shopping experience while supporting the store’s sales goals. Please note - this is not a entry level position - you must demonstrate on your resume that you have sales experience.

More than 90% of your work will be with brides. Your ability to demonstrate finesse between the bride and her bridal party (including relatives, parents, in-laws, etc) will determine whether you are the right fit for this role.

Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits
- Provide knowledgeable advice on merchandise, including technology products and accessories
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments
- Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays aligned with company standards
- Maintain common areas of the showroom including change rooms, stockrooms, bathroom and kitchen
- Handle customer inquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and product placement




- Support store operations by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety protocols
- Engage in ongoing product training to stay current on new offerings and features

Skills

- Multilingual or bilingual proficiency (English required) to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills for engaging customers and explaining bridal/non-bridal outfits & designers clearly
- Experience in retail sales, merchandising, or technology sales preferred
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and persuasively
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Effective time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Phone etiquette for professional communication with customers over the phone
- Upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Ability to work well within a team environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Knowledge of Indian fashion & designers is an asset although not required for this role.
