Welder / Fitter (TIG)

M.P. Welding & Fabrication is currently seeking an experienced Welder / Fitter (TIG) to join our growing team. We are looking for a dependable, motivated individual who takes pride in quality workmanship, values safety, and enjoys working in a heavy industrial environment.

Compensation

$30.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Hours of Work

- Monday to Thursday: 9-hour shifts
- Friday: 4-hour shift
- Overtime opportunities available
- Must be willing to work extended hours for scheduled shutdowns, emergency breakdowns, and occasional call-in support.

Responsibilities

- Perform TIG welding on light-gauge materials to a high standard of quality.
- Read and accurately interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specifications.
- Fit and assemble custom fabricated products with precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adapt to changing priorities and work environments.
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of welding experience (TIG welding experience required).
- Proven ability to TIG weld light-gauge materials.
- Robust fitting and fabrication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.




- Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

This position is based in a heavy industrial plant environment and requires adherence to all company safety policies.

Applicants must be able to:

- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Work in confined spaces and at elevated heights when required.
- Climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding.
- Lift, carry, push, pull, bend, crouch, and kneel throughout the workday.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and standard plant safety equipment.
- Work safely in environments with industrial noise, temperature fluctuations, and other plant conditions.
