Duties

- Safely operate large commercial trucks over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring secure handling and proper placement.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify mechanical issues and perform basic automotive repairs when necessary.
- Manage freight documentation accurately, including delivery manifests, logs, and inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly.




- Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of the truck to ensure optimal performance throughout journeys.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with transportation regulations.

Skills

- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and secure loading techniques.
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting mechanical issues on the road.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to long haul transportation.
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients.
- Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
