Truck Zone has an opportunity for a highly motivated Heavy-Duty Technician to join our Nanaimo location. Our new Team member would be performing skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of medium to heavy duty vehicles, trailers, and specialized equipment when necessary. They would be inspecting, analyzing, troubleshooting, dismantling, aligning, assembling, and adjusting mechanical equipment and machinery to maintain it in efficient operating condition. The ideal candidate is committed to safety, excellence, teamwork, providing solutions and adaptability. Compensation will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, certifications, and demonstrated skill set. The wages listed are wage base and up, this would include certificates and incentives.

Role Requirements

- Must hold a valid BC or equivalent Journeyman's certificate
- CVIP License is preferred; or willing to get CVIP License with company assistance.
- Possess a valid driver's license, Class 1 or 3 with Q endorsement preferred
- Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics, electrical and engine repair
- Strong diagnostic capabilities
- Experience with routine maintenance operations.
- Must provide own tools

Pay: $47.00-$56.25 per hour
