We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 trucks to transport freight over long and short distances, adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle reliability and safety
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Physical stamina to load/unload freight and perform inspections regularly
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping and secure operations
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
