Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our A&W; team. This pivotal role involves supporting store operations, leading sales initiatives, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail management experience, and a passion for driving store success. Bilingual abilities and proficiency in various retail functions are highly valued to enhance team performance and customer engagement.

Duties

- Assist in managing daily store operations to ensure smooth functioning and adherence to company policies
- Lead and supervise staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to meet sales goals
- Oversee merchandising strategies, pricing, and inventory purchasing to optimize product presentation and availability.
- Manage POS systems, cashiering duties, and customer service interactions to promote a positive shopping experience.
- Coordinate store scheduling, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain organizational efficiency
- Assist in budgeting, sales management, and implementing sales strategies to meet or exceed targets
- Perform administrative duties such as phone etiquette, organizational tasks,



and record keeping

Requirements

- Proven management experience with a strong background in management and team supervision
- Excellent communication skills, including bilingual proficiency preferred for diverse customer engagement
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks
- Leadership qualities with demonstrated success in training & development, supervising staff, and motivating teams
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and time management skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in retail management is a plus
