Under the responsibility of the Planning Supervisor, the General Labor – Deburring is primarily responsible for the finishing and preparation of machined parts through deburring, cleaning, and visual inspection. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all components meet quality standards before moving to the next stage of production or shipment. In addition to deburring, the role provides general production support as required.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual and mechanical deburring of machined parts to remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections
- Clean and prepare parts to meet quality and customer specifications
- Conduct basic visual inspections to ensure parts meet required standards
- Identify and report non-conformities or quality issues to the supervisor
- Safely handle parts to prevent damage during finishing processes
- Maintain tools and equipment used for deburring in good condition
- Assist with inventory, packaging, and general shop support tasks
- Assist with cutting raw materials according to cutting sheets
- Other related tasks as required by production needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience in deburring or part finishing
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Versatile, reliable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Team-oriented with a proactive attitude
- Valid driver’s license
- Forklift license (asset)
- Ability to read basic drawings or follow work instructions
