The Opportunity: Fire Assay Weigh Technician
Hiring for the following shifts: Day Shift (7:00am-3:00pm), Afternoon Shift (3:00pm-11:00pm), and Night Shift (11:00pm-7:00am)
Education Required: High School Diploma.
Requirements
- Common sense
- Organized
- Ability to handle several tasks at once
- Able to work with little supervision
- Computer skills an asset
- Detail-oriented, motivated and takes initiative
- Ability to lift weighted objects
- Good Interpersonal Skills
- Safety oriented in all aspects of the job
Responsibilities: May include some or all of the following; or any other assigned tasks directly or indirectly by the Fire Assay Manager:
- Weighing of pulps and standards using a balance scale
- Calibrating the balance
- Use of LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) for daily tasks
- Assist in training of new employees
- Maintenance of equipment in working order and required logs,
files, etc.
- Assist in ensuring turnaround time meets clients and General Manager’s requirements of two weeks from receipt by working overtime when required
- Assist in maintaining departmental housekeeping
Note: This job requires working in a Pb use environment.
