Position Overview

COSL Canada Ltd. is seeking a Directional Oil & Gas Service Rig Construction Project Manager to support SAGD drilling programs across Western Canada. The service rig construction project manager oversees the planning, execution, and completion of our service rig construction project, ensuring budget compliance, and operational efficiency. Assist in procurement of contracts, parts and equipment that will be required. QC oversee.

Key Responsibilities

1.Project Planning and Scheduling

- The manager assists with development and detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure all phases of the rig construction are properly scheduled and executed on time.

2. Budget and Cost Management

- Preparing and manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and adjust financial plans to prevent cost overruns. This includes forecasting expenses for materials, labor, and equipment while ensuring the project remains financially viable.

3. Procurement of parts and contracts required to operate

- Source out vendors and work with our supply chain team to obtain contracts for services and equipment required for operational needs.
- Monitor stock, inventory and forecast demand to prevent shortages.

4. Documentation & Reporting

- Complete daily and weekly construction job progress and report.
- Communicate with supervisors, and clients regarding job progress.

5. Quality Assurance

- Monitor construction processes to maintain high-quality standards, inspect completed work,



and ensure that the rig meets operational and engineering specifications as per construction requests.

6. Construction Oversight

- Ensure equipment is installed and operational according to design specifications.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to guarantee readiness for operations.
- Service rig construction project manager combines general construction management skills with specialized knowledge of rig operations, balancing technical, financial, and safety responsibilities to deliver projects successfully and on schedule.

Qualifications & Experience

- Grade 12 education or above.
- Mechanical and or rig specific engineering is an asset but not required.
- Knowledge of slant and mobile double service rigs SAGD well operations.
- 15+ years working around slant and vertical service rigs.
- Knowledge of API and Canadian code standards.
- Having a valid class 5 driver license with clean abstract.
- Strong knowledge with service rigs
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valuable communication skills to effectively convey directions, guidance and information.
- Must be legally allowed to work full time in Canada.
- A commitment to safety practices within the workplace.

- Energy Safety Canada Common Safety Orientation (CSO) (required)
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (required)
- Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate (required)
- Standard First Aid Certificate (required)
