Employment Type: Full-time, on-site role
Compensation: Commensurate with Experience
Location: Greater Toronto Area
Core Responsibilities
- Installation & Deployment: Run, fish, and dress low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/6, coaxial, multi-conductor) in commercial and multi-residential environments.
- Hardware Mounting & Termination: Install, terminate, and configure field devices including maglocks, electric strikes, card readers, IP cameras, intercom panels, and motion sensors.
- System Configuration: Program and commission head-end panels, network switches, NVRs, and security software.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and repair complex technical issues, ground faults, and network connectivity problems in legacy and modern systems.
- Client Relations: Meet with clients on-site, address technical concerns,
provide system walkthroughs/training, and deliver exceptional support.
- Project Delivery: Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Valid G Driver's License
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work a physical job
- Robust communication skills
Technical & Brand Experience:
- Access Control & Intrusion: Hands-on experience or familiarity with enterprise platforms such as ICT (Integrated Control Technology), CDVI, Kantech, and intrusion alarm systems like DSC or Bosch.
- CCTV & Video Surveillance: Experience installing and configuring IP cameras and Network Video Recorders (NVRs) (e.g., Avigilon, Hikvision, Axis, Milestone).
- Networking Basics: Solid understanding of IP networking, including routers, switches, access points, port forwarding, and basic subnetting.
- Blueprints: Ability to accurately interpret technical diagrams, architectural schematics, line drawings, and building blueprints.
Certifications & Compliance (Strongly Preferred):
- Valid safety certifications (or willingness to obtain): Working at Heights, WHMIS, and Aerial Platform/Scissor Lift certification.
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
